NDIS Information
NDIS Information
The scheme is genuinely complex, and the documentation that explains it is not exactly light reading. Participants and families regularly come to us confused, frustrated, or unsure whether they are making the right decisions.
We are not here to replace your planner or your support coordinator. But we can give you clear, honest information about how the NDIS works so you can ask better questions, make more confident decisions, and get more out of your plan.
Who Can Access the NDIS?
The NDIS is open to Australians who are under 65 years of age, hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency, and live with a permanent disability that significantly affects their daily life.
HOLISTIC CARE SUPPORT
Understanding Your NDIS Funding Categories
Core Supports
This funding covers your everyday needs, things like personal care, household tasks, transport, and community participation. It is generally the most flexible of the three categories.
Capacity Building Supports
This funding is focused on building your skills and independence over time. It covers areas like life skills development, employment support, and support coordination.
Capital Supports
This category covers higher-cost items such as assistive technology and home or vehicle modifications. The funding here is tied to specific approved items and cannot be redirected elsewhere.
