Innovative Community Participation
Innovative Community Participation
Some people want to join a group. Others want to try something they have never done before. Some want to connect digitally, contribute through volunteering, or discover a creative outlet they did not know they had.
Holistic Care Support helps NDIS participants in Victoria explore community participation in ways that genuinely suit them, not just whatever is easiest to organise.
HOLISTIC CARE SUPPORT
What This Support Actually Looks Like
Creative Pursuits and Arts Programs
Art, music, writing, photography. Creative activities are powerful for building confidence, expressing identity, and connecting with other people. We help participants find programs that match their interest and ability.
Technology and Online Communities
Digital participation is participation too. We help participants use technology to engage with communities, interests, and resources they would not otherwise be able to access.
Learning-Based Social Activities
Picking up a new skill in a group setting is one of the best ways to meet people organically. We connect participants to workshops, classes, and interest groups where community forms naturally.
Volunteering
Contributing something to others creates a sense of purpose that is hard to replicate. We help participants explore volunteering opportunities that fit their interests and the time they have available.
Cultural and Recreational Experiences
Events, festivals, sports, outdoor activities. We support participants in exploring what their community has to offer in ways that feel genuinely enjoyable.
Supported First Steps
Trying something new takes a certain amount of courage, especially in an unfamiliar environment. Our workers accompany participants through those first experiences so the barrier to trying again is lower next time.
